The Paddletek Tempest Wave Paddle has an 8-inch wide face with a large sweet spot, graphite hitting surface to maximize ball speed, and a soft and quiet polymer core to keep the neighbors happy. Averaging about 7.6 ounces, this paddle can bring gale force-speed groundstrokes but also is comfortable dropping shots calmly in the kitchen.
With slightly more deflection than the original, white-background Tempest paddles, our play-testers found that these black-background Tempest Wave paddles have a little more response even though the polymer core composition is the same. Paddletek now keeps a closer watch on surface texture tolerances to ensure the Tempest Wave paddles adhere to USAPA guidelines.
