Overview

This racquet comes pre-strung with a comfortable synthetic gut for added value!

Introducing the perfect racquet for bargain hunters who do not want to sacrifice quality. It's called the Pure Strike EVO and it combines easy targeting with great feel. This racquet's light weight makes perfect for beginner and intermediate players. Like other members of the Pure Strike family, this racquet has a hybrid frame construction (called Control Frame Technology), which blends the control and feel of square beam with the speed and dynamism of a modern elliptical beam. It also benefits from EVO Feel which is a special material compound designed to increase shock absorption and comfort. From the baseline this racquet offers an impressive combination of speed, comfort and accuracy. This racquet's raw speed not only makes it easier to generate pace and spin, but it will help you hit effective shots on the run. The speedy feel also comes in handy at net and on service returns where the Pure Strike EVO comes around very fast to deliver easy targeting. Players looking to serve more aggressively will love how powerfully this stick explodes through contact. With the Pure Strike EVO, Babolat has packed an impressive level of playability into an extremely attractive price. Beginner and intermediate players looking for a fast and user-friendly racquet should give this one a serious look. Did we mention the price?

Comments: Such an underrated racquet. Great for beginners and intermediate players. You can get another better pre-strung beginner racquet. But the original strings are strung too high, and are synthetic gut. I restrung at a lower tension with full co-polyester mains at 44 pounds and 48 pounds on the crosses. My regular racquet is a Third Generation Pure Strike 16x19 305 grams.I use this EVO as a recreational racquet when I feel lazy to go all out to use the regular Pure Strike and I use the EVO as my coaching racquet as well.

Comments: This such a great racquet for all levels. I have every type of Babolat racquet and most of them in every head size. This 102 head size is the perfect balance of control and power. I don't really care much about cost, but what a deal. Also don't let the price full you. This is a well built frame. I am a 4.5 doubles and singles player in my late 50's and this stick can do it all. It has no flaws. It is light, but with lead tape you can make it fit your own game. Thank you Babolat for making the Strike in a 102 head size.

Comments: This is a great racquet for intermediate players. In stock form it's easy to swing and capable of nice spin. The pre-strung strings didn't work for me. Contact with the ball was boardy and felt glossy or wet. I had it restrung with Velocity 17 and that's when it really started shining. It put down racquets twice the cost (like the head radical) and the blade 104. I decided to add weight, a whole pack of wilson tape to the hoop centered at 8 and 4, great improvement. I also bought a heatshrink grip oversleeve. Together those got the racquet up to 11.4, 6pts HL, SW near 35n, I love it.
