Overview

Introducing Gosen G Tour 1, a medium firm co-polyester that rewards big swings with exceptional control. The low power level will enable you to swing bigger when adding pace and spin to your shots. Gosen has designed G Tour 1 with silicone oil coating so that strings snapback during contact in order to increase the ball's rotation. A great option for intermediate and advanced players looking for a comfortably firm control string that will keep the biggest strokes on target.

Offers a slightly firmer feel and a tad more control than the G Tour 3 string.

Top notch control oriented polyG-Tour 1 plays like a RPM clone in terms of the type of ball it produces. It feels better and lasts longer than RPM while still retaining the same power/control/spin combinations that make RPM a beloved poly. Really stellar tension maintenance. G-Tour 1 is all about what you put in to it and rewards a confident stroke with pace and spin. The round profile makes topspin, slice, and flat shots easy and serving the full spectrum is a breeze. Volleys crisply. The silicone coating lasts. I think this string is being slept on in a big way. The price point kind of makes it unbelievable.

Comfortable with great spin, power, controlThis is the best string on the market for the modern player looking for great spin, and a nice combination of power and control. I'm been a stringer for 20 years, and I like to experiment with different combinations of string. My go-to is RPM Blast 16L at 56 lbs. When it's warmer during the summer and when my arm is loose, I will sometimes use a full-bed of RPM. Over the years, RPM has given me arm problems. Even if you don't hit with much spin topspin, you should still give G Tour 1 a try. It pockets the ball nicely, but still has the spin potential of RPM without the ultra-dead feeling. The comfort factor with these strings is also way better than RPM. I can use a full-bed of G Tour 1 with zero arm discomfort.

Comments: My hitting partner uses this string, so I decided to give it a try. Overall a very solid string. Has good spin potential and control. It's definitely on the deader side when strung at 56 lbs. I loved the tension maintenance and I felt that this string held tension well up to the 2 week mark, which is pretty exceptional for a poly. I think this is a great replacement of RPM Blast, considering it's basically half the price.

Comments: I've been using Gosen Sidewinder for a while now and I was curious about this string. I strung this at 50lbs and I really liked it. At first it felt a bit stiff, but after an hour it definitely softened up. This string has a crisp feel and gives you a very controllable and predictable response. I liked it most at the baseline where you can hit the ball deep without much fear of over hitting. I would say it's comparable to an RPM blast or Luxilon ALU Power Rough with improved comfort.

Comments: I've used Gosen G Tour 1 for over three years. It is by far the best string I've ever used! This string gives you plenty of pop and spin, but also allows you to keep the ball in. But what is so impressive about this string, is its ability to maintain tension. Even when the string is about to break, it's only dropped a few pounds. The durability is quite impressive and even better with the 16 gauge. I've tried RPM Blast, Luxilon Big Banger, Yonex Poly Tour Pro, Volkl Cyclone and Solinco Hyper G. And none of them can compare. Try out this string!

Comments: I been using the Gosen Polybreak for a while. The draw back from the Polybreak is the white color so I decided to try G Tour. I like it. Like the black. I seem to get more pop and power out of my serve. Nothing bad to report yet. Strung one at 52 lbs and one at 50 lbs. Seems to hold tension well. So far, I've only hit for a couple of hours with it during a match.

Comments: I'm trying this as a cross. So far so good -- strung up nice, came off the stringing machine a little tighter then my standard cross. Holding tension well so far. A little extra pop. I'll post some more after additional hits.

Comments: This string is horrible. I bought a set, and used it as 2 crosses in a hybrid. Both snapped in the stringing process.
