Controllable power. Plush comfort. Updated with Auxetic technology for 2023

Head adds another chapter to the Gravity MP! Like the previous generation, this 2023 update combines a speedy 11 ounce strung weight with a 16x20 string pattern and 100 square inch head (think controllable power). Compared to conventional oval shaped racquets, the Gravity's teardrop shape gives it a more generous hitting zone toward the tip of the racquet - the upshot is a more forgiving, powerful and spin-friendly hitting experience. Although not quite as stable as the Gravity Pro, the MP not only feels feels solid for its weight class but it also delivers the kind of quick handling that aggressive all-court players crave. For 2023, the Gravity gets a slightly more flexible beam, giving it better ball feedback and increased pocketing for greater command over the ball. Head also adds Auxetic Technology to the throat piece, enabling the racquet to flex optimally according to impact location. This racquet also benefits from Graphene 360+ which combines the stability and easy power of polarized weighting with SpiralFibers in the lower head for a softer feel. With incremental tweaks to the feel, the Gravity MP continues to be a great option for the player who wants a speedy modern player's racquet with controllable power and best-of-class comfort.

Lead Tape -> HeavenI bought this racquet because of its excellent feel and the level of comfort. However, when facing strong opponents it's not very stable due to its light weight. I followed a YouTuber and added two grams at three o'clock, three grams at nine o'clock, then eight grams in the handle. Twelve grams in total. With these changes, this racquet has been perfect for me.

Best RacquetAs title says, best racquet I purchased. Moved up quickly in rating (3.5-4.0) after using this stick. Easy to swing but enough mass to get the ball going. Huge sweet spot, great control, and gives good spin with proper technique. Serves are nice and volleys are a breeze. Note that it is low powered so the I use a hybrid of gut/poly for added pop. Beautiful to look at as well. Highly recommend!

Excellent Raquect for 3 - 5.0 - PlayerI really enjoyed playing with this racquet. Because of the 59 RA, and coming from playing with the Head Speed Team at 66 RA, it took a little getting used to. I added some weights to the 3,9, and 12 positions but ended up removing the 12 weight. Too lopsided for me. Strung with 17.1 NRG2 at 52lbs. I was able to generate good power without losing control. Really enjoyed the 16 X 20 string pattern. So the Pros and Cons, the pros outweighing the cons by a mile. Pros: Most arm friendly racquet I have ever played with. Recovering from both a wrist and golfer's elbow, I felt very little pain while and after playing. Excellent touch racquet for volleys, drop shots and lobs. Probably the best touch racquet I have played with. Easy swing and when hit perfectly, sends a wicked ball with pace and pin point accuracy. Easy serving racquet if you let the racquet head do all the work. Cons: Not very forgiving if late on the shot except at the net. I suspect this is due to the 59 RA. As a one handed back-hander, if I am late or have too open a stance, the ball will slide off my line. Is ok if I am aiming in the center of the court and just pretend I meant to hit the corner but not good for down the line passing shot. I consider this definitely user error. Because of the Head Speed Team's stiffness that I have been using, I have been able to get away with a late shot. Again backhand, when stepping in to hit a top spin shot, if I tighten my forearm muscle, I find I carry the ball. When I relax the muscle, I get a very nice shot. Not an issue when hitting an aggressive backhand slice. Always get a nice shot. So again, user error on the top spin. I am working on adjusting my backhand timing to relax and hit out in front rather than tightening and chasing late. Overall: I would highly recommend this racquet with the provision that don't be too judgemental when initially trying it out. This racquet takes a little getting used to but once mastered, is an excellent racquet for the 3 - 5.0 player, all the more so for anyone suffering from arm or wrist pain.

Customizing Gravity MPI previously wrote a review and said: "I advise to put an overgrip (5 grams) and to balance it with 4x1.25 grams of tungsten at 3&9 of the frame; this makes the racquet really come alive." After a few hours I dropped the total weight on racquet head from 5 grams to 3 grams total and things just got better; more feedback, faster racquet head speed and started to feel the effect of Auxetic more.

Plays like an oversizeHead Gravity auxetic 2023 is a great racquet for upper intermediate players. It has a nice flex, low RA, huge sweet spot for a 100 inch frame. I advise to put an overgrip (5 grams) and to balance it with 4x1.25 grams of tungsten at 3&9 of the frame; this makes the racquet really come alive.
