Overview

Head Lynx is a medium firm co-poly that delivers remarkable precision on full swings. As such this string is ideal for players with long, fast strokes. With its lively snapback, Lynx should help topspin players hit a heavy spin loaded ball that explodes off the court. Built with additives to increase elasticity and feel, Lynx also performs well on slower strokes where it possesses above average touch for a firm monofilament. Recommended to intermediate and advanced players. Try this thin version for maximum spin.

Comments: There is a difference between the yellow and black strings, just like the review says. I tried the black in the mains with natural gut in the crosses. Balls kept flying long. Much better control with the yellow in the mains and natural gut in the crosses.

Comments: My set up was: Head Lynx 18 (1.20) in Yellow on the Mains and Babolat Vs. Gut 16 (1.30) in Black on the crosses. It has a nice combination of spin and feel. Unsure if it is getting the same or less spin than my hybrids with shaped polys (most notably Solinco TB Soft). The round poly may not slide back and forth across the gut and may be better off on a full bed. Seemed less power than a full bed of Sonic Pro Edge. Zero arm issues. Tried in both a 18x20 string pattern at 52/48lbs and 16x19 string pattern at 54/50 lbs.
