 Massive Spin Awaits

Introducing Head's LYNX SPIN². Unlike a traditional hybrid, this string deploys two poly-based monofilaments to maximize spin. The main string is a 5-sided co-poly with sharp edges for extra bite. The cross strings are round and slippery to enable the main strings to deflect and SNAPBACK with vicious force. The upshot is ultra easy access to spin. In addition to spin, this hybrid also offers an extremely predictable launch angle, resulting in a high degree of command over the ball's trajectory and depth. Recommended to intermediate and advanced players, especially if they are looking to load the ball with heavy spin.

Please note: the strings in this hybrid are new and developed specifically for this hybrid

  • Gauge:  16/1.30 (orange mains) 17/1.25 (blue crosses)
  • Length: 20ft (both sets)
  • Composition: Co-polyester Monofilament

So far so good. It's on a brand new frame so.Ordered Head Lynx Spin2 on my new Head Boom Pro. Being as this is my my first modern Head racquet it's hard to say how much of the feel is from the frame and how much can be attributed to the strings. But together, they work well. I am very pleased. The ball spends a good amount of time on the racquet and feels plush. Not the most powerful setup, but solid as a rock. Boom Pro 2024 strung at 56 pounds.

Inconsistent launch angleSpin production is okay when the string actually grabs the ball. Pretty soft and good feel for a poly. Tension maintenance is pretty good. Plays about the same after nine hours of play. Big con that I experienced was the launch angle felt very inconsistent for me. I can't recommend a string that behaves erratically.

Head Lynx 2Just put these in my Radicals and so far, so good. I am a slice serve/topspin player and these give me plenty of easy spin and I am getting better control than with my Hyper-G/Red Code blend. I do like a softer string for feel and these are definitely firmer than the Hyper-G but the spin is great, and the power and control are both good. I like 'em!

Head Lynx Spin 2 HybridIf you are a base liner and hit heavy top spin or a lot of slice you will love these strings also these strings are very durable. Prior to the Spin 2 strings grand daughter would break strings every 4-5 days& never hit top spin now with these strings they will last 3-4 weeks & she will hit a few ball with top spin & the bite on the mains has improved her slice approach shots . She is a high rated junior player & will play D1 next year& she loves the Spin 2 strings.

Good Spin at a lower powerMy standard strings are Solinco Hyper-G Soft 17, full bed at 46/44 on a Prince Textreme Warrior 100. The stringing is easy. The blue (Cross) is stiff but does not generate any problems. My impressions after 6 sets (about 5 hours of Singles/Doubles) are: Flat serve no difference. Slice Serve: Little better. Topspin groundstrokes: About the same on Forehand and little better on 1 hand backhand. Backhand Slice: Huge difference (much better) than Solinco. This could mean that the design of this Hybrid can give you access to more effect at lower head speed than my control strings. The tension loss is about 20% after 5 hours measured with StringMeter compared with Solinco. They did not publish the stiffness yet but I could not feel any pain on the arm. I think that the price-benefit of this set is good even with the tension loss.

Great spin , poor tension maintenanceI was really excited to try these strings. I have played with Head Lynx Tour exclusively since it came out, so this is the first time in years that I tried to change strings. The initial performance and feel was fantastic. Great spin and decent control. After about three hours of play there is noticeable tension drop off. It seems to have leveled off after a while but is loose and a little “launchy.” I had it strung at 53 lbs, it is way looser after a few sessions. I like the spin, I don’t like the tension drop off. I will go back to Lynx Tour as I search for a durable shaped poly.

Head Lynx Spin2 Hybrid StringAs a Recreational Player I thought that I would try these strings in a newly purchased racquet. I found that they provide great spin, as advertised. I have used them for the past three weeks and the tension seems to be lasting. I highly recommend them.

Head Lynx Spin 2 hybrid StringsI am just starting to use these strings. So far, they are acting as advertised. I enjoy lots of spin as a result of the configuration of the two types of combined strings. The tension is holding. I am pleased with them, thanks. Well done!

Great control, good feel, excellent spinI purchased these strings on a whim just to try something new. I have to say I am liking them a lot. I have them strung in the Head Radical Pro at 52# mains and 54# crosses. I hit with a lot of topspin and these strings perform, dropping the ball at the baseline. I find they have a nice crisp feel, good for placing the ball on volleys. They're similar in performance and feel to Hyper-G, my go-to string.
