Nike has kept what you loved about the previous Vapor Pro and added an Air Zoom unit in the forefoot for added comfort.

Building off the success of the first version, this Nike Vapor Pro 2 carries on the speedy feel, breathability, and even more comfort! Now featuring an Air Zoom unit in the forefoot for more cushioning underfoot, and a springy, explosive feel. The upper feels nice and contoured, due to the stretchy internal sleeve, while the outer shell is well ventilated and supportive. A data informed outsole design provides plenty of traction, without hindering athletic movers from sliding on the hard courts.

  • Upper: Stretchy internal sleeve and mesh for 2 layers of support; breathable. Asymmetrical lacing hugs feet during lateral movements.
  • Midsole: Air Zoom unit in forefoot and soft foam midsole for responsive cushioning and a low to the ground feel. Full-length foot frame on lateral side adds stability.
  • Outsole: A data informed herringbone tread pattern for a good balance of grip and give. Rubber has been removed from low wear areas, to reduce weight.
  • Color: White / Black

No GoodLoved the Vapor Pro's. Probably my favorite shoe ever. These are nothing like them. Clunky, heavy. Hate them. Bring back the Vapor Pro.

Comfortable but not enough durabilityWhen I put this shoe on it felt really comfortable but as an everyday tournament player the outsole only lasted for two months.

Sizing inconsistentBought my first pair a couple of months ago, normal size for me is 10.5, but surprisingly the 10.0 felt perfect. Liked them so much I bought another pair, same size in a 10.0, in white. Oddly they felt at least half a size or maybe even a full size smaller than my original pair, so sadly I had to return them.

Great update!I was using the Vapor Pro's for three pairs before moving to the Vapor Pro 2. I'm now on my fourth pair of these and I can say that these are great shoes! They slide well, they have good support, a great response, and a fast feel right out of the box with no break-in period. The only reason for my star taken off is that over time as the outsole tread goes away the shoe gets a little less responsive and nimble but instead still just gets out of your way while being flexible and stable.

Worst durability of any Nike so farI've been wearing Nike tennis shoes forever. For me, the durability of Nike soles is typically about four months. These Vapor Pro 2's showed wear almost immediately and are worn flat in my typical spots in about two months, but haven't quite worn through. Bring back the Vapor X. Still not durable, but Vapor X was the best Nike has done.

Shoelace Fell OffFirst match of the year, second set, opponent hits dropshot. I run and try to reach by sliding, but wasn’t able to. Scrape my knee and the right shoelace on my right foot fell off.

Supportive Tennis ShoeI needed some ankle support and cushioning, I am 60 now and my feet don't recover as quickly. I tried several shoes for tennis, Asics Gel Resolution & adidas Adizero Ubersonic are two. Nike Vapors were recommended for their cushioning & support, so I bought this pair. They have been great so far and they do have more cushioning than the Asics or Adidas. My feet are slightly wide and I found the Vapor Pro 2 to be narrow/snug in the width area. Otherwise I would given them 5/5.

Nothing like the first Vapor ProIf you liked the first Vapor Pro you may be disappointed in the Vapor Pro 2. It’s a completely different shoe and quite a disappointment. The toe box is higher which doesn’t allow a locked in feel and my toes end up hurting from being able to move inside the shoe too much and bumping in the front. ALSO the zoom unit they put in the forefoot can be felt under foot and not in a good way. Very odd and may be contributing to the toe problem. Nike can never leave good enough alone and now not one of their shoes works for me. After years and years of buying Nike I’m done. I will begin testing other brands.

A disappointment like few othersI was tremendously disappointed with these shoes. I had huge expectations for this tennis shoe as the reviews rated it as one of the best tennis shoes of 2023 for playing on clay. Its silhouette is too fragile, it has no support in the back that can protect the achilles heel or ankle. I definitely do not recommend this shoe.

Love this shoeI was so bummed when the Vapor X got replaced with the first Vapor Pro, but this second version I absolutely love. I have been playing Vapors exclusively for the last 7 years and although the Pro 2 is quite different to the 9 - 9.5 & X, I actually like it even more. The simple fit and design are super comfy. Short break-in period (about an hour). Zoom Air in the forefoot is pretty springy but I added a Zoom Air insole for more rebound and cushioning in the heel. The outsole is unfortunately not durable at all but Vapors have never been known for their durability so that was expected. Overall: Fast, light, comfortable and stable. Love it.

Good CushioningThis shoe has very good cushioning and still provides me with very good movement on hard court. I am a 60 y.o. man and my feet get sore from the flatter tennis shoes with good movement (i.e. adidas adizero Ubersonic). They are a bit narrow when new and need break in time to fix that.

No proper size for meBought the same size as my previous Vapor Pros. However, this time they were way bigger. Therefore, I ordered one size smaller and now they are too small. It is still a quite comfortable shoe, upper durability seems quite good and sole as week. I played two matches and they show already slight wear-down on the outsole but I run a lot so I guess it is alright. The inside of the shoe (at least for my foot) is too hard and actually caused a little wound while playing a match. I do prefer the previous model but I wished I could wear them in a size that fits properly like the models before but this one unfortunately is sized weirdly.

Great updateThe shoe ties tighter than the last version; looks cooler, and feels more comfortable.

These Kill My FeetNot sure what is going on with these. I have flat, narrow feet and have enjoyed many of Nike's other shoes over the years. However, these just kill my feet. I cannot wear them without pain. Back to the less durable but significantly more comfortable Diadoras.

Great update better than VP1New updated Vapor Pro 2 is better lock in system compare to previous version. Also they remove pinky-toe guard in version 1 no toe pain, slightly wider but still good fit, therefore your fit won't move around in toe-box. Much more comfort than its precedent. Still light weight and good match shoes. Also it is more durable. I love this update. I think it is the best Nike tennis shoes since Vapor X.

Very DisappointingI have used 8 pairs of the previous Vapor Pro and loved every one of them. They were low the ground, light, and fast. This new version is a disappointment to say the least. The toe box is different and it is causing my toes to jam into the front, resulting in uncomfortable play and bruising. This was not a problem on the previous version, but suddenly it is. They also feel higher off the ground. This could be due to the air unit in the forefoot which doesn't actually seem to provide that much more cushion. Regardless, they are not as low as the previous Vapor Pro and the Vapor X. What is most frustrating is that they are wearing out very quickly. I have maybe 20 hours on hard courts on these and the tread is already worn off on the inside portion of the foot tread. Love the aesthetics, but overall a very disappointing showing from Nike.

A step in the right directionI'm glad Nike finally reverted back to a simple yet effective approach in revamping the Vapor lineup. I personally think they've been over complicating their tennis shoe designs these past few years. Quite comfortable, light & low to the ground, as you would expect from a Vapor, albeit does require a bit of a break in period compared to the Vapor 9.5 and Vapor X which were good to go straight out of the box. Somewhat reminds me of Rafa's 2015 Lunar Balistec model but much lighter, faster and (yep, you guessed it) low to the ground. The shape and fit are pretty similar, although Rafa's shoe ran a bit big whereas this one fit's true to size. Medium width. Overall a good redesign for my taste compared to the first Vapor Pro which, aside from the outsole, I did not like. For context and reference, my all-time favorite tennis shoe remains the Vapor X.

Love it!The Vapor Pro2 is a great comfortable, stable, cool design and solid tennis shoe. Nike has hit a home run with this shoe at a reasonable price. I have been wearing Asics Gel Resolution 8 which is also a good tennis shoe but the Pro2 is much better in my opinion. I especially like how nimble and quick moving this shoe is compared to the Asics. I can also stop on a dime or slide easily. Don't hesitate to buy a pair before they are all sold out!!!!
