Overview

The new Paddletek Tempest Wave Pro v3 went through several small refinements, relative to the prior model, resulting in higher degree of paddle performance, in terms of manageable all-court power, premium touch, and improved spin potential. A slightly thicker (14.3 mm.) Advanced High Grade Carbon Polymer Composite Core provides a generous sweet spot, and still adds power, but with a layer of precision, as does the increased paddle length, which is now at 15.85 inches. Paddletek uses their ICED Carbon Fiber surface w/ Perma-Spin Technology, and like the name implies, produces long-lasting, and easy access to spin on the ball. The V3 Tempest Wave Pro is available in a weight from 7.6-8.0 ounces, affording a range of paddle stability, and/ or maneuverability. Further adding to its versatility is the option of a 4 1/8 or 4 3/8s grip size, which are wrapped in Paddletek's high-comfort base grip, making the Tempest Wave Pro V3 a potent paddle choice for any skill level, or play style.

Power vs. controlI've been using the paddle now for just over two weeks but I've been playing for over ten years. Right away I noticed very good control. I'm not a spinner so can't talk about the carbon fiber surface in that area. The power is a bit less than my previous Engage paddle but certainly acceptable. I have had a few shots that floated up off the top edge. Not sure what that is about yet, hope to figure that out soon.

Love this paddle!I am a tennis player, turned pickleball player and I love this paddle for its control, spin and pop. I feel this paddle has taken my game to a new level. I have previously played with the Paddletek EX-L and the TS-5.
