Overview

Prince Premier Control features a firm tri-core construction inside a bed of very soft and pliable filaments. The result is a string that combines comfort with an impressive level of control and durability. This is a great string for any player who prefers a soft, arm-friendly response but wants to keep more balls in play.

This 17g version has slightly more spin and feel but less durability than the 16g version.

Great feelFeels like 50 years ago playing with gut! Love how strings grab the ball, great feel, fun to have strings move and to break strings.

Prince Premier Control 17/1.25 String Reel -I've played these strings for about 3 years, great feel and control. Reminds me of gut from my youth! Great value, strings will wear out and break, but I like that after years of poly strings never breaking.

Comments: Terrible for stringing. Bought four packs, two snapped while tensioning. When on the racquet, good for people with elbow or arm issues. Soft, but good reply and control when hitting. Not for hard hitters. Do not string in a hybrid with any shaped string, it will cut through quickly.

Comments: This string is a hidden gem. Great control, feel, and not too powerful. Also gives good spin. Easy on the arm as well.

Comments: I like it, it gives good power and control, but I've strung it at 53 pounds on my Prince Textreme 100L and it's broken six times within the first week of stringing it. I am kind of disappointed in the quality of the string, but it plays great if it doesn't break.

Comments: Played great for the first hour and half and then broke. Very strange as I rarely break strings. Nonetheless I'm going to try it again at a lower tension. If I continue breaking strings I'll look at something else. Strung at 53 lbs in a Prince Tour 100P

Comments: I've been using Prince Premier with Softflex for the last few years, but they're hard to come by now. This seemed a likely replacement -- seemed to have a similar description. When I restrung 2 racquets with this string 2 weeks ago, I found that I preferred the Premier Control. It gave me more than enough control, enough power, good touch on my volleys and lobs, and plenty of spin on my serve. And they are just as easy on my arm. I'm hoping it's durable, but that should not be a problem as I don't break a lot of strings.

Comments: I put this string in my Prince O3 white LS racquet at 58 lbs. It was a little stiff the first 2 hours, but then felt really great for the next 4 hours, until one of the mains broke. I was getting outstanding topspin from this string, sort of surprised me.

Comments: Just tried this string on my Prince Tour Pro 100 and have to say that its one of the best strings I've ever played with. Strung at 54 lbs, I get lots of control yet ball comes off strings like a rocket launcher. Easy on the arm and tons of feel. I will be buying more of this for sure. "Hittin in the pocket with my Prince rocket."Great Price as well.

Comments: One of my favorites. I think it is a very unique multi. It has great control and spin. It feels extremely crisp. The power is sufficient. It seems to be very durable. If it lacked anything it would be feel at the net and a strong slice.
