Overview

Note: Cases of balls do not qualify for free shipping. Cases only ship within the contiguous United States via UPS Ground.

Designed for play at elevations of 3,500 feet and above. We do not recommend using these tennis balls at lower elevations.

Penn's longest lasting tennis ball, the Pro Penn Marathon is a great choice for the serious tennis player seeking a premium ball. It features Penn's Encore technology for more longevity in the core and LongPlay felt for better durability. Optik felt keeps visibility at a maximum. These particular Pro Penn Marathon balls are made of extra-duty felt, which is perfect for hard court play.

  • 24 cans per case
  • 3 balls per can
  • Specific for play at elevations of 3,500 feet and above

Note: Cases of balls ship separately via UPS Ground.

Worst High Altitude BallFeels like a rock, hits like a rock, bounces like a rock. If Penn was trying to make a ball that has decent feel and plays like a sea level ball, this is about as far from it as they could have gone.

Only tennis ball I buy.I buy a case of these balls every year. I use the High Altitude Pro Penns. Me, my brother, and my teammates love the feel of this ball. It always takes longer to wear (often find them over a year in my tennis bag as warm-up balls. The blue number is helpful, especially when playing with nearby courts. When asked which ball, I say, "The one with the blue number." Very playable, I get great spin with the serve, rarely frays.

Pro penn ballThis ball is a good teaching ball in that it wears well. Our club has these balls and many of us do not like it. It is very hard and does not pocket on the strings well even of you have strung at a lower level. The Babolat gold and Wilson US Open ball is a much better feeling ball on the racket and lasts just as long.
