Comments: I have used this string in the mains (18 gauge at 54 lbs) in a hybrid configuration with natural gut (17 gauge at 58 lbs) as the cross strings for 4 years. I have also used it in a full bed. I string my own racquets and periodically try other strings but consistently go back to this hybrid string combination. I am a 4.0 player with my own power so I am looking for a string combination that provides good bite for spin, good control, and durability. I will usually get 4-6 hrs of nice playability with most strings and will typically break strings within 10-12 hours of play. With Signum Pro Tornado in combination with natural gut I will usually get twice that amount of both playability and durability. I have read about others who express a loss of spin once the string looses its hexagonal shape. I have not noticed this as a problem. I have used this string in 16, 17, and 18 gauge and have found the gauge of string affects spin more than any other feature in a string. Prior to this string combination, I used harder copolys or Kevlar in hybrid combination with multifilament but developed arm problems. The Signum Pro Tornado as a full racquet was better tolerated but still contributed to arm pain but in combination with gut has been excellent for my elbow.

Comments: You say you'll "wreak havoc" with these strings, and, thus far, I am! A wonderful turn of events given that I'm 77. A lot of necks have been swiveling as a result of my drives off the forehand and backhand. I've had two Head racquets strung with them, at 43 pounds. A pro in Zihuatenejo told me they'd provide me not only with power (which had been my main concern of late), but control. He's been proved right. I hit flat, by and large, rather than with topspin. Booming serves, crushing volleys. It don't get better than this.

Comments: This string is really great for 4-5 matches, it has great spin and control during that time. But immediately after that the twists on the string wear off and the string becomes completely bald. This takes away all the spin out of the shots. The tension of the string is retained very well for a really long time but the spin is completely gone.

Comments: I am an amateur player, 5.0, 46 years old, and take full swings with heavy spin with an aggressive style, but not a big hitter. My first serve is regularly 160-170kmh calculated from video frames and I play on clay 60% of the time and hard courts 40% of the time. With a Prince Tour 100 18x20, I strung with Luxilion Alu Power Rough 17 (at 24 kg). The racquet was very soft so Alu Power was a fine combination. This year, I switched to Head Radical Pro (2016) seeking for more power and Alu Power was too stiff for the racquet. Signum Pro Tornado 17 (1.23) (strung at 24 kg) gave me much better feeling especially with "touch" shots, drop-shots and half-volleys. I could easily generate power and spin as well. For me, it suits me better for stiffer and powerful frames (Radical Pro flex rating is 67; Price Tour flex rating is 57). I was also very surprised the string played better and better for me with the hours spent on court, until it broke after 16 hours of playing. Next time I try to lower the tension to have more touch. With Luxilion, I was never able to break the string, but I had power and control, only for the first 6-8 hours.

Comments: I wonder why there have been no reviews about this string after 2012. This string is amazing. Gives me good bite, good power and good feel. Comfort-wise, I didn't have a problem. It lasts also long (3 weeks). This is my go-to string. I am a 5.0 rated player and use my trusty Wilson KFactor 95 at 52 lbs. If anything, I just wish it had more control while killing the short balls. But overall, I am happy with this string.

Comments: While its a good string with lots of spin and control, I must confess this is the only string where I have had a problem stringing. I have had the string break on me a couple of times when stringing. While I am not a professionalstringer, I have strung over 200 racquets and this was the only string that I have had break on me.

Comments: I've been playing with Tornado 1.17 at 51 lbs and 1.23 at 52 lbs for about 2 months - (RDIS 200 Lite 98sq, 16x19). I agree with D., from Temecula - good power, control and very good topspin. Both gauges don't move and hold tension well. However this string has little ball pocketing and/or feel. IMO if you are all court player or play singles and doubles there are better strings on the market. Overall this string is just OK especially considering the price and value.

Comments: I strung a full bed of this at 50 lbs in my Volkl Power Bridge 10 Mid, and I find that I can get great spin and even some power. This string also maintains playability longer than most other polys out there, such as Babolat RPM Blast. I am a junior player with a full, fast swing.

Comments: I have bought 2 reels of Signum Pro Tornado 17G. It is my favorite poly string. Great spin and Signum Pro strings seem to play better for longer when compared to other poly strings. Be sure to drop your tension at least 10% below your your soft string tension (gut, multi, or nylon). I hybrid Tornado and like it both as a main and a cross. I string tornado at 50-52 lbs and the multi string at 54-56. Usually a 3-4 lbs difference and it works well. If you drop the tension, it is easier on the arm and it still provides a nice crisp string bed for excellent spin and control.

Comments: This is one of the better strings out there. It's much better compared to RPM Blast and Black Code. It has nice ball bite and control with raw power. I strung it on my Aeropro Drive GT @ 55lbs. I'm going to stick to this string for a long time.

Comments: I have been playing these strings for about 3 months and it is a great string. My favorite poly/co-poly. I have tried many of the polys/co-poly strings and this one is the best. It provides great spin and control and is easy on the arm when compared to other polys. It retains tension better than any poly string I have used. If you are not playing poly and try these strings, drop the tension 3-6 lbs below you normal tension. These also hybrid well. I am currently using these in the mains at 53 with NRG2 or Babolat tonic 16G gut in the crosses and it plays great. I also have used the gut in the mains with Tornado in the cross and that plays great too. They do not saw the soft string like some say. I am getting 15-20 hours of very good playability and usually cut the strings out before the cross breaks.

Comments: Excellent string! Great crisp feel without being harsh on the arm. I drop the tension 10% below where I would string a syn gut. I have tried many polys and this is my favorite. I use it in mains with a multi or syn gut cross. Spin is above average. Feel is very good. Power is good if you drop the tension 5-10% below normal syn gut tension. Durability is outstanding. And, tension maintenance is very good. I play at the 4.0-4.5 level and get about 20-25 hours before the strings begin to lose their feel a bit.

Comments: I have been using this string as a full setup and it played very well in all areas, but the durability became an issue as significant notching would occur after a week or two and the strings lasted about 2 weeks on average. Recently switched to hybriding it with Gosen OG Micro 16 on the crosses. This reduced the spin a bit but gave the string bed a softer feel and increased durability. Overall a great string whether used as a full setup or for hybriding.

Comments: Switched to a poly to lessen the potential of breaking strings. Overall, good power, above average control, and very good topspin. Tension held up great. No movement of the strings at all. However, this poly does not give me the feel that I like when hitting, especially when hitting slices or drop shots. It just feels -- bland. I also find it to be a bit stiff for my taste. I will switch to co-poly on the mains and synthetic gut on the crosses to see if that type of a set up would work out better for me. FYI I strung this at 52lbs on a Volkl PB Mid.

Comments: Lots of spin as the edges bites hard. Hits it with topspin and the results will be plenty of kicks. With pocketing effect gives excellent feel for a poly, which makes it comfortable to use and have no elbow problems. Power will really depend on your tension and your style of play so I will not go into it. For me, the feel is good for a poly, but not the best around as my drop shots are better with other strings. And the edges do smooth out on the sweetspot. One of the better poly for me to play with and probably one of the top few spin string around. Try it.

Comments: Tried this in a hybrid setup: Nat gut mains (55lbs) Tornado crosses (38lbs). Felt incredibly stiff when I was stringing it hence the low tension. For such a low tension I get incredible amount of shock. Not at all friendly on my arm. Not much bite or control (maybe to be expected at such low tension). Luxilon strings (Timo, Ace, Supsersense) to me play and feel much better. Lasted me all of 2 weeks as it sawed through the nat gut.Not getting this again.

Comments: I first tried the Tornado in a full bed @ 52 which is where I had been stringing Lux BB original for quite a while. It felt amazing the first couple of times out, really good spin, definitely a softer feel and noticeably more power. But then after about a week the tension had dropped and settled to a point where I had NO control. I had an extra set of Tornado and Lux BB Ace 18g so I tried a hybrid with the Lux in mains @ 52 and Tornado in crosses @ 55. This has turned out to be a great setup. After a couple of weeks I can feel that the tension has settled, but the combo retains the softness and pop of the Tornado but the control of the Lux.

Comments: I had used Big Banger Alu power just recently on my Head Radical Microgel and switched to tornado on the mains 54 and 52 Prince recoil on the crosses. What a difference, didn't take much to break in and I had noticed more bite on the ball. Strings felt great on my arm and had incredible control. Worth a try, if you hit with spin and like to swing away on your shots.

Comments: Just got this and strung it on a Wilson Pro Staff 95,tension is around 60lbs, I must say this is a great soft poly, when you are hitting the ball, it feels nice and crisp, spin wise it's very decent, surprisingly this string added at least another 5-10 MPH on my serve, my opponents were commenting the ball had more zip on it, heheheh, volleys were also nice and crisp, I cannot comment on tension lost as I have only played with this string for 2 hours, will report back after a feel days, comparing this string with Tecnifibre's Blackcode, I suspect that this is just a tad softer, I have BC on a k6.1 tour.

Comments: Compared to Poly Plasma, Tornado is softer with a bit more power. This co-poly is easy on the arm, with a nice feel. It holds well the tension - but not as good as Poly Plasma. It helps a lot to put spin on the ball, but after around 10 hours of play, I have noticed that the heptagonal shape of the crosses disappeared in the sweet spot area.

Comments: Definitely the best poly I've ever hit with next to Big Banger Alu Power, but much more arm friendly. It is just amazing how much spin this thing can hit. I am using Dunlop 4D 300 tour which has a 18x20 string pattern, with synthetic gut or a regular poly I struggle to get spin, but with this the ball just kicks after the bounce, even with my one handed backhand! But the most noticeable aspect of this string is not its spin or control, but it's insane power, my forehand really got beefed up after switching to this string because it's just such a soft poly with incredible control and power, I can hit much harder with my forehand now. And its stealth black look goes perfect with the black/red color of my Dunlop 4D 300 tour. Love this string to death, bought a reel already!
