Great all around stringI am two years out of playing NAIA college tennis and I was looking for a string that was durable, provided the opportunity for good pace, and wanted consistent control - this string delivers. I've used it in the past but recently purchased it again and lowered my tension to 50. It feels incredible.

Great for tennis elbowI've struggled with elbow and shoulder pain for years. If you want to hit with poly but can't take the wear and tear on your arm, try this one out. Good for spin and power, but not as hard on your arm as other polyesters.

Great spin and pop!Love this poly. It has a surprising amount of power and tons of spin. No arm pain when using it. Will likely be my string of choice for a while. Lasted about 10-15 hours of play before it started dying. Around a 3.5-4.0 club player, using an Aero 98 strung at 48lbs.

NiceAfter using hybrids I read this was a good introduction to poly strings. Made a good choice! Feel is good, no harshness with comfort, nice spin, and unusually powerful for a poly. Control was decent at 48 lbs. See what the buzz is about and the price is good too! Recommend for those wanting to give a poly a try!

great poly for those needing more comfort!I developed a little tennis elbow for the first time last fall and took the winter off to see if it had gotten better. It hadn't but this string has made a difference! As a long-time user for Kirschbaum Spiky Black Shark 17g (which I loved for stiffness, control, and spin), I was hoping for something that could approximate the control and spin but give me more comfort and the Solinco Hyper-G Soft 17g delivered. It's noticeably more arm-friendly while still giving me plenty of spin and control. I also really enjoy the touch I get on volleys with the string. If you're looking to move into the poly realm or find yourself needing more forgiveness, this is a great string to try.

Great if you are prone to tennis elbowI love these strings! I was worried at first about the tight tension when my racquet was strung but with these strings I get the power without the pain in my arm.

Comfortable and durable for the same string.I've tried to find a string that is both comfortable and durable and this is it. I played twice a week and it broke after 5 months or more. In comparison, I had Tecnifibre NRG2 16 and X-One Biphase 16 and both broke in a month or two (12 times or so). Importantly this string doesn't shift while playing and need to pull back all the time like Gamma professional and TNT. It's also very powerful at 48lb that complements my Head Gravity Pro, which is known to lack of power if you're not strong.

favorite stringDon't be afraid to string this soft poly down to 46-47 lbs. A little bit of pop but maintains control.

HybridI started to use this string because the multifilaments I used to protect my elbow only lasted 6 to 7 hours! Now using this string in the long part it works fantastic! Now sometimes I can play until I have to cut them out, Hyper-G feels really good lots of spin potential. I also like that it holds the tension really well. Hyper-G 24 kg 17 gauge mains / prince synthetic gut 25 kg 16 gauge crosses.

Great playabilityGreat playability for a mono. I've never had to deal with arm issues so I use it in a full bed and get great control. I can pretty much put the ball where ever I want on the court. I'm a 4.0 player using a Pure Strike 100 and love the 17. No complaints. Crisp!

A good transition stringFor juniors looking to move into a string with more pop, especially those who now break strings regularly. It's a good compromise between a non-poly setup and a full poly setup when you play Solinco in the mains and something different (more playable) in the crosses.

Too much pop at low tensionI play with a Clash 100 Tour that I have always used Wilson spin effect hybrid in. I decided to experiment with different strings to gain a little more control. I strung a set of Solinco Tour Bite/Vanquish hybrid and had no significant complaints so I decided to go with a full bed of poly. I chose Hyper G soft hoping to gain control without risk of elbow pain. I was worried that without a multi in the crosses I would lose power so I strung this up at 48 pounds to try to keep the power up. Well, this was a big disappointment. Very erratic and way too much pop. Spin was good but any time I didn't cut the ball for big spin it would just spray unpredictably. I played twice with these for about two hours and ended up cutting them out. I switched back to the Wilson spin effect hybrid at a little higher tension than before and wondered why I ever left such a good set up. To be fair, I might have liked the Hyper G soft at 56 lbs but even if I wanted to try full poly again I would probably go with Wilson revolve.

Comments: Great string, especially for those of us with sensitive arms. I've played extensively with regular Hyper-G and recently I've also been hitting with Confidential, which is also a great string. However, after a recent bout with tennis elbow, both regular Hyper-G and Confidential were giving me arm pain in my regular racquet, even when strung at a lower tension. Hyper-G Soft feels very similar in response to regular Hyper-G, but I haven't experienced any arm pain while playing. In addition, even though I've been stringing Hyper-G Soft in the 40 pound range, about 8 to 9 pounds less than my usual tension, control and spin have been excellent and tension maintenance has been decent, although the strings do break a bit more quickly. Still, given my elbow pain, this string has really hit the mark and has allowed me to continue playing with no noticeably drop off in performance. Will definitely add to my string rotation even after my elbow fully heals.

Comments: Strung this up in a Prince Textreme Tour 100 310 grams and found it to be acceptable, but not especially noteworthy. It plays like any newer soft co-polyester string. Reminds me of Diadem Solstice Power, but with less spin. Power, spin, control, all acceptable, but also unremarkable. If you like the mushy feel of a multifilament, you may like this. For those who like a more crisp sensation at contact, such as Volkl Cyclone or Ytex Quadro Twist, this string is probably not worth your time. I cut it out after a week of hitting with it, so I can't comment on its durability, but I got six hours out of it without greater than usual tension loss.
