Comments: This is a must read for any player that wants to be the best they can be. As a college player I need to stay in top condition to compete at the proper level. This book is loaded with information. It breaks down what type of conditioning and strength training to do and when to do each type. I have almost every page highlighted. A great investment for the competitive player.

Comments: More focused on tennis conditioning than on-court training, it alternates between covering the theory and general principles (while citing many studies) then providing sample programs to try. The main topics are nutrition, flexibility, resistance training, cardio, on-court drills, self-testing and periodization. Suitable for at least mildly competitive players or higher. Highly recommended.

Comments: This a great book. It is focused on the competitive player and is scientifically based using hundreds of tennis specific studies. It is complex in places but also has tons of photographs and sample programs. It is the most in-depth training book for tennis that I have read and I have learned so much about speed, strength, power, endurance, nutrition and program design for tennis players. The authors seem to be academics but also have strong playing experience so they explain the complex science stuff in a player's mentality.
