Great MultiOne of the softest multifilaments. Great product. It's a lot like gut, hence the name.

Quasi Gut = Quasi GreatThis string is definitely "good enough." Not GREAT, but good enough. If you are not a big spin player and looking for something at a good price to play with - this is your string. Sorry - but it is not a spin monster or better than sliced bread...but definitely good enough.

Best Bang For The Buck$ for $ this is the best soft string on the market. I use it in hybrid set up with Hyper G on my Pure Aero + and it is the best of both worlds.

Very nice as a cross stringPlays like gut and loses tension just as much. I would not use a full bed. Need a string that holds tension for mains. Would definitely recommend but heed the warning too. Great for arm issues too as most have stated.

Comments: I really like this string for its feel and price point. I'm a 4.5 singles and doubles player using the Wilson Blade 98 18x20 v7. I normally use Hyper-G 17g in the mains at 54lbs, with a synthetic gut in the crosses at 57lbs. I swing pretty hard and use quite a bit of topspin. I have used and enjoyed multis in the past (namely Technifibre X-One Bi-Phase 17g), but my one reservation is always premature breakage given how I swing for spin (although it's never actually happened.) I acquired a stringer, so my concerns have subsided in that area. As a result, I decided to get another pack of the X-One, but given its cost, I wanted a cheaper option for comparison purposes. I decided on the Quasi Gut 17g and strung each at 57lbs. I noticed that during the stringing processes, the clamps left discoloration on the Quasi Gut- it was as if all the filaments got squished together, creating a slightly darker areas on the string. I have now played 3 competitive sets of dubs with the X-One and 6 with the Quasi Gut. Overall, both strings have done exactly what you'd want a multi to do: give me tons of feel and a bit more pop. They are also both noticeably more comfortable feeling on the arm. I don't suffer from arm issues, but I still appreciate the softer, less jarring feel at impact. I think one factor that increases comfort is that I just don't need to swing as hard, plus, I can feel so much more at the moment of release that I actually feel like I have time to slightly alter the trajectory/angle of the ball. As a result, I don't feel like I need to whip the ball for spin quite as much. With regard to the "feel", last night (playing with the Quasi Gut) my partner commented on how I seemed to volley and return much better than normal. He even called some of my shots "pretty." I have to concur, I felt much more connected. The discoloration I noticed during the stringing process seems to have no ill effects. After 6 sets in humid weather the strings seem to be holding up well. I think 6 more sets, for a total of 12, would be acceptable and I think I'll get there. More than that is gravy. I just really like the feel these strings give. Comparing them to the X-Ones, I would say they are an excellent alternative. I am tempted to say the X-Ones offer a bit more feel, but maybe I'm being psyched out because they are more French and pricier. Since the Quasi Gut retails for about half the cost, but gives up almost nothing in performance, I'll be stocking up on some Quasi Gut for the summer. I still bring a back up Blade 18x20 v5 with a full bed of Hyper G as an emergency back up, but so far I have not needed it.

Comments: I string my wife's racquet (Prince Tour 100T) with this and she loves it. Arm friendly, good control and still has power. She is a strong 4.0 doubles player and I don't foresee changing to any other string.

Comments: I love this string. I don't have arm issues so it's hard for me to comment on the comfort level, but I can tell it's on the softer side. That being said, I have plenty of power with this string and plenty of control. I feel that this string is the best balance of power and control I have ever found in a string (I string it in the mid 50's). My experience is that these strings are pretty durable. They also have good feel. I don't hit with a lot of topspin, but I am able to generate spin with these strings. I use the 16g. I am a 4.0 player in my 50's that plays a couple times a week.

Comments: Excellent string. Closest thing to natural gut. Only $99 a reel. A good match with the Wilson Pro Staff RF 97 Autograph.

Comments: These strings fared well for me. They have a soft feel and I felt good playability. I felt my ground strokes and serve hit well with this string. Cons: The string is very slick and required about a 2-game break in before I really enjoyed playing with them. My tennis elbow pain decreased when I used these strings. Enduring on going Tennis Elbow about a year ago began my quest to find a new string. I was looking for comfort, playability, good feel, durability, and affordability. I feel a review like this would have been very helpful to me, so I decided to post my findings so perhaps I could help others find their string. I string my own racquets at 59 lbs. All the strings I evaluated were 17 gauge. I play 4-6 hours per week at a 4.5 level.

Comments: This is the least durable string I have used in my life. I'm not a big hitter. Usually a Babolat Hurricane or a Gamma TNT Tour can last longer than two months on my regular rate of playing 3 times a week. However, this string can only last 2 to 3 weeks or even shorter. Very easy to see peel-off after 2 hours, and it becomes thinner and thinner quickly, then breaks. I have used up almost half of a reel, and I was forced to discard the rest of it because I don't like to spend any more money on the labor of stringing.

Comments: This is a great multifilament string, close to natural gut. It is soft and has good ball pocketing. It is easy on the arm and easy to string. I felt it was similar to Tecnifibre Multifeel. I recommend!
From:Amthaj, 10/11

Comments: This was strung as a hybrid in the crosses at 57 lbs. After 1 hour of play the tension loss was through the roof. NXT, BiPhase, Premier LT & TNT are going to last 20x as long, and you will pay 8-10x more at the most. Don't try and skimp on these strings, they're awful.

Comments: This string is the closest multifilament to natural gut. Before this I was a long time user of LaserFibre SuperNatural Gut - Pro Stock. For the price, I find Tourna Quasi Gut to be the best of its class, better than NGR2 and NXT. Easy to string, good ball pocketing, and good controllable power.

Comments: I needed to switch to a multi filament string because of arm problems. I first tried the Gamma Revelation 17. Then, I ordered a set of these to give them a try and I was quite impressed. The Quasi-Gut has a very crisp and responsive feel with great ball pocketing. I have a 16x18 string pattern and this string can generate tremendous spin and power. At 1.27mm, this string is more like a 16L than a 17 gauge, but still bites the ball well. This string does not fray like other multi filaments and is very durable compared to other solid core synthetics as well as multi filaments. Also, it was easy to string with and I bought the reel to save a little.
