Overview

Weiss CANNON Red Ghost is a seven-sided co-poly with a comfortably firm feel. The phenomenal control allows big hitters to keep their most powerful strokes inside the lines. The shaped profile provides exceptional bite, allowing the player to bend and shape the ball's trajectory with spin. With its thin 1.18mm diameter, this string offers exceptional feel, making it ideal for the player who wants a durable control string that does not overtax the tendons.

Crisp and Powerful!!Tried this string as a replacement for Luxilon ALU Power Rough 16L, and was not disappointed at all. Crisp, powerful, good tension hold and love the color. Now this is my string of choice. I am 4.0 player and use Wilson Blade v7 16x19.

Comments: I've tried this string on several racquets with very positive results in all of them, the latest being the 2019 Pure Aero. In that racquet I also tried RPM Blast in a hybrid with gut, and a full bed of Hyper-G. Red Ghost had better feel and power compared to Hyper G, and better feel and spin compared to RPM Blast. I found that it lasted about 8 hours before it started losing tension. I strung it at 53 lbs. Red Ghost is definitely worth a try if you're looking for a comfortable poly with a nice balance of control, spin, and power. Remember to pre-stretch the string for best results!

Comments: Even more comfortable than Kirschbaum Pro Line 11 in a racquet with a stiffness of 70. The spin generation almost as good as Black Shark, but the Red Ghost has superior connection and feel for the ball. And looks cool and plays well in the Volkl Super G Mid 320. Strung at 57 lbs.

Comments: Great spin on serves. Great topspin. Feels good at 56 pounds. I'm a number two player from South California, now a 5.5.

Comments: A very nice string. I have about 30 hours on it in a Yonex VCore SV100 and it is only just starting to lose a little tension. To be fair I'm not a "big hitter". Medium/long strokes, medium/fast and a fair amount of top spin. As compared to Hyper G, it is more comfortable and a little more controlled than hyper G and also has a slight bit more power, but a little less spin overall. Hyper G also seemed to lose tension a little faster. Hyper G is a sharper string and it loses some of that edge due to wear a little quicker too. In my opinion, this is a superior string, although both are very high performing poly's.

Comments: Nice power, comfortable, just slightly lower in depth feel and control therefore. A good string, slightly under the level of ALU Feel.

Comments: Impressive string! If youre looking for a lively string without the trampoline effect, I highly recommend Red Ghost.

Comments: This is not a bad string but just a lesser version of the Solinco Tour Bite. Less control and not as much power. So no reason on earth to buy this string. Would choose Tour Bite over this one any day. Unless you like the color of this string there is no rationale to choose this one.

Comments: Broke after about 4 hours of hitting. Felt nice, but the worst durability I have seen in a poly. May have been a bad break (pun intended) so I might give it another chance.

Comments: Using it in my Donnay with Isospeed Control. I haven't had it break yet after 10+ hours. I'll see how the next half goes, but so far so good. Feels softer than other polys, I'm getting nice touch on drop shots and good kick on my serves. I'm a 5.0 player.

Comments: 4.5 player here with heavy topspin strokes. This string is soft on the arm and has good power, average spin and good control. It's a great string and is helping my tennis elbow. This string is exactly what I wanted, the one problem is it breaks way too fast. Only 2-3 hitting sessions and it goes boom.

Comments: Power is high for a poly. The shape of the string is very similar to what I'm used to, and not as dramatic as Ultra Cable, which is good. I didn't get any erratic launches due to excessively sharp edges, which gave me more confidence due to better control. It adds a major factor that also makes this string great: soft and crisp. Those two usually don't go together, but they do here. Red Ghost is easy on the arm and also gives you an excellent connection to the ball. I strung it as a full bed and hybrid with Gosen Micro crosses, and I found the hybrid to be too powerful for me. Players 4.0 and under could benefit from the hybrid setup. All in all, an excellent string. Looks and plays very well. 30+ hours of tennis a week are taking a toll on me and that's why I had to stop using Tour Bite and switched to Hyper-G. Red Ghost could be yet another step in the right direction. Soft + Crisp, high powered poly. Power tennis is here to stay.
