Overview

Wilson Revolve is a comfortably firm co-poly that is well suited to players with long, fast strokes. Like the best control strings, Revolve provides tremendous precision and predictability on the biggest swings. It also features a unique molecular structure and a proprietary additive designed to increase the string's ability to deflect and snap back (see heavy spin). Offering higher comfort than a traditional polyester, Revolve is a great option for intermediate and advanced players looking for durability, control and spin.

A solid contenderWas looking for ALU alternative due to weekly restrings for my daughter. Tried these in 17 in the crosses with Confidential in the main (48x52) for Florida weather all day in the 90’s. The first set was too stiff and felt like plywood. For the second round, we went with NRG2 17 in the mains at 49, and the Wilson Revolve 17 in the crosses at 51. TICKET! Daughter loves this setup! Easy on her wrist, great ball pocketing and great control and outstanding spin! As the matter of fact so much spin that, this setup will only last her 2 practice sessions with NRG giving out on 4 and 6 (always the same spot which is weird) The good news is, I string my own and happen to have a Reel of the NRG and now going to buy the Revolve in I’ll as well. Extra work for me but avoiding injuries while hitting great is a bonus in my book! :)

control and spinI used this on Wilson Clash and it is still working at its best with a lot of control and nice top spin.

Comments: I find these strings to have comfort and excellent control. In my opinion, these are probably some of the best polyester strings for: 1) control 2) comfort 3) price 4) durability/playbility. They are hard to beat. I use the orange strings as a cross for natural gut (Babolat VS touch) in a Head Gravity Pro. This combo produces excellent spin in a control oriented racquet. This is one of the few polyester strings I can use without arm pain due to my history of tennis elbow (granted that I use it with NG in the mains). I have tried others that are supposedly soft co-poly strings such as Isospeed Cream & Yonex Poly Tour Air, but both of those gave me discomfort pretty quickly. I would highly recommend this as many others have as the cross string with NG in the mains. In an 18x20 pattern, this will probably last longer than other hybrids and retains playability.

Comments: I tried these as crosses in a hybrid set up with Babolat VS Touch 16 as mains (55/53 lb). I love it. Granted, it's in the cross, it has less effect than the mains. Still, it works fantastically and is excellent at the price point. I was using Luxilon Element as another smooth poly for crosses (double the price), and I think I get everything (if not more) with the Revolve. Highly recommend trying this one out! Very, very comfortable with nice access to spin, and a little pre-stretch makes it last.

Comments: These strings are the most worth-it in regards to price and playability. These strings allow for generating tons of spin and it also plays very well. This is significantly cheaper than Babolat RPM Blast. I bought about two to three sets just so I have it when my strings pop.

Comments: Best co-poly on the market, good for hybrid setup. I have it strung on my Pro Staff 97 at 55 pounds on the mains with Wilson Synthetic Gut 16 on the crosses. Comfortable and great pop, stick with the 17g.

Comments: In my opinion the TW review is accurate, however I would have given a higher mark for spin and a 90 rating overall. This is an outstanding string that competes favorably against Babolat and Luxilon best with better comfort and an excellent price. This is an excellent, durable, control string.

Comments: 17 Gauge, 55 lbs strung on Wilson PS97 (2015). Coming from Head Sonic Edge Pro, the first thing I noticed was the extra power on Revolve. First few hits, I had to re-adjust my strokes a little as my balls were flying long. After that, when I got settled into my zone, the Revolve was a sublime string to hit with. It offered lots of power (I think a little too much especially for the 17g), very good spin potential, decent feel and good comfort. It's also not very expensive which means there's really not much to dislike about the Revolve. I do wish that it was a touch lower in power though so that I could get a bit better control. However, it's really not a major deal as a little bit of adjustment meant that I could tap into that extra power when I wanted to. Fantastic string really, a real joy to hit with.

Comments: I have this string in my Wilson Burn 100LS version 2.0 at 45 pounds. I felt like I could really take a full cut at the ball and have it stay in. I don't hit with much topspin but felt like I was getting more. I think this is a good string for me. It will be interesting to check again in a week on the tension maintenance.

Comments: I play and all court single game, 4.0 with heavy strokes from the base line. I was under the impression the player generated the spin, not so much the string. Having a stringer, I switched from Luxilon 4G to this string. (Try to same a few dollars) I must say, strings DO contribute to spin. My strokes are WAY heavier and can hit more acute angles with this string. Strung (2) Wilson Pro-Staff LS Blacks @ 55 / 48. It is impossible to double fault on a kick serve now unless I shank it off the frame. Love this string..

Comments: This was the first poly to get me to switch from Head Rip Control which I used for over 15 years. I liked the low power and bite of rip control. In my experience the only poly strings that had good control were very stiff and hard on the arm. Soft ploys tended to be too springy and powerful. Initially I saw some extra pop from Revolve and didn't trust it for real matches, but I'd use it on the practice court every once in a while. After a while I did get used to the action of Revolve and did like the pocketing effect they had. I decided to play the string in a league match where I knew I'd get some high loopy off pace balls. Won the match and decided to play it some more. Ended up having one of my best seasons of competitive play in a long time.

Comments: I'm a recent convert to poly strings and I am always seeking comfort, control, launch angle, feel and string tension maintenance. I'm not seeking super spin or more raw power. I'm not a western or semi-western grip, so I hit with just a bit of eastern/continental topspin and slice. I think I'm settling on this as my "go to" poly because of the qualities I am seeking in a polyester string. There is only one complaint, but it's more about polys in general. Hitting softly hit balls as drop volleys at the net are almost impossible to carve. I have the touch of an iron worker when I get softly hit balls to me at the net. Ugh! I am 4.0/doubles player. 62 years old and play with a Dunlop 300GOS 18x20 at 57 lbs.

Comments: I'd like to update my previous review with the following: after further testing, I've discovered that these strings are a little too low powered and tiring. I was biased toward Wilson (I love my Blade racquet), but have come to realize that Kirschbaum Pro Line II surpasses these strings in every category.

Comments: I had Wilson Revolve in a Pure Aero and a Pro Staff 97S at 52 lbs. Personally, this is my favorite round polyester on the market. Good spin, ball pocketing, control, and tension maintenance. There really isn't anything Revolve is bad at for me. It's a nice low powered poly with relatively good spin and control on all shots. Overall, very nice in a full bed at a low tension or in a hybrid with a softer string.
From:SN, 11/16

Comments: It was OK for me for the first few hours but then played like a bad nylon. Didn't last long. Not OK for me.
From:Anonymous, 10/16

Comments: Great in a full bed for a stiff frame (RF97, APD), not the greatest spin but in the upper 80-percentile. Control and feel are solid and it lasts a long time (black, 17g). Also used as a slippery cross in a gut/poly hybrid and along with Hawk and ALU power it excels. Can't beat the price especially if you get 5 for the price of 4.
From:Mike, 6/16

Comments: I have found better spin potenial from other strings. Although this string does have a nice feel and good control, I never felt as if it was really getting a good grip on the ball.
From:Doug, 5/16

Comments: One of the best poly strings out there, tried them all and this one is doing it all.
From:Joe, 3/16

Comments: After going through 16 different polys (including Babolat RPM, Prince Tour XP/XC, Kirschbaum Pro Line II, Head Sonic Pro, Gamma iO, and other 17-gauge strings with mostly round cross-sections) and even a gut-poly hybrid setup, I have decided to go with these strings for the following reasons:* Most plush feel and pocketing (reminiscent of gut) while still being one of the most durable* Most consistent feel from freshly strung to breakage* Heavy spin and the string stays mostly put* Dark color without bleeding (which might explain why this string is charcoal in color, not black)* And a great price point!
From:Neville, 3/16

Comments: Awesome string! Great power and feel. Strung at 48 lbs on a Wilson Juice 100S. Can't beat the price with free shipping!
From:Becky, 3/16

Comments: Revolve is a great all-around string. Offers very nice control and medium power. I think it is one of the most spin friendly round ploys. Tension maintenance is decent and durability is slightly above average. I'm a 4.5 baseliner who primarily plays singles.
From:Raj, 3/16

Comments: Great string. I prefer the white over the orange.
From:Justin, 3/16

Comments: I really loved this string on my Blade 104 at 53 lbs. The string felt soft and it was the first time I get spin like that. Even my friend who I was playing agaisnt commented about my strokes. My slice shots were low. I did not suffer from any pain or discomfort. This string will be my one to go string instead of LUX ALU Power 16l because it is cheaper, softer (more comfortable), and I got more spin out of it. I just wish Wilson could make a reel of it.
From:Hisham, 9/15

Comments: Very good ball pocketing and decent feel for a poly. Pretty comfortable to boot. I don't use a lot of spin, so won't comment on that attribute. First impression is very positive and I will use this string again. The orange color works great in my Pacific racquet.
