HEAD Radical Tour Grit EX Pickleball Paddle
Overview
The Head Radical Tour Grit EX features the same elongated 16.5” x 7.5” shape and extended 5.5" handle design as the Tour EX Raw paddle. The former being a source of power and reach, with the latter offering enough room to control points with one or two hands on the paddle. Although weight is the same (around 8.1 oz.) as the RAW series of Radical paddles, the Grits have a speedier feel and deliver easier power due in part to a slight increase in their head-light balance point. And as the name implies, the surface of the Radical Grit Tour EX is paired with a shark-skin like Graphite/Carbon Hitting Surface (GHS) that along with Head's Spin Grid Technology, supplies top tier spin potential, and additional power. Throughout the entire updated line of Radical paddles, Head uses a 15mm Polypropylene Honeycomb core, which strikes middle ground as far as top-notch comfort, along with a blend of core control and power. Leaving nothing to chance, Head uses specially formulated PU (polyurethane) for the internals of the handle, which filters out unwanted vibration, while providing good feedback at contact of the ball. Regardless of skill level, strategy, or style, Head’s Radical Tour Grit EX is designed for players to leave behind a trail of shots, points and games, en route to the podium!
