These shoes put a premium on comfort, and provide an ultra lightweight feel.
One of the lightest tennis shoes on the market gets a facelift, as the Mizuno Wave Exceed Light 2 maintains that ultra lightweight feel, superb comfort, and a new upper design that enhances the support. The midsole is equipped with plush cushioning underfoot, while the signature Wave plate adds energy into every step. The engineered mesh upper offers a soft feel on top of the foot, while also improving durability compared to the first version. On the outsole, Durable X10 rubber is formed into a multi-directional herringbone pattern for great traction on a variety of court surfaces.
- Upper: Engineered mesh provides sift feel, lightweight support, and breathability.
- Midsole: Enerzy in the heel for energy return and responsiveness. Wave plate disperses energy, adds cushion, and stability. Pownce ultra light material for extra comfort and resiliency.
- Outsole: X10 durable rubber provides longer wear in high impact areas. Multi-directional herringbone pattern for good traction on any court surface.

Customer Reviews
love these shoesI love these shoes. This is my second pair. I have a wide forefoot and these shoes do the trick. I never think about them during a match, stable, responsive and great on har-tru.
Ah!I am 75 years old and still very fit … have worn most of the major brands over the last 50 years … Nike, adidas, Puma, Diadora and for the last 8 years, KSwiss, which I thought was a great shoe until I bought these Mizuno ultra light men's shoes … bought two pairs , one for around town and one for playing … no break in period … they feel like they were custom made for me … true to size and if you usually fit into any brand without problems you will have found your perfect shoe.
ComfortableFit is on the narrow side of medium. Good cushion, better than the Rogers.
Comfort and stabilityFound these to have similar comfort and stability as Air Oscillates. No break-in needed. Highly recommend.
Too wide for narrow feetI ordered true to size and the toe box was just too big for my narrow foot, even with thick Thorlo tennis socks. I put a medium insole and it didn’t solve the problem. Weak lateral support. My foot slid off the sole of the shoe when I pushed off hard. My foot moved too much inside the very tightly tied shoe. Tried them, didn’t work for me.
I love this shoeI am a big Mizuno fan and these shoes showed why I like them. The comfort and stability was outstanding.
