The GP series lives on! With Zoom Air underfoot you will find explosive energy and a smooth ride, trusted on tour by Frances Tiafoe.

Whether you are an aggressive mover craving that extra spring in your step, or a comfort seeker looking for a plush ride, fear not the Nike Zoom GP Challenge 1 Shoes are here! The Nike GP Turbo was a TW playtester all-time favorite, based on the exceptional level of comfort and cushioning. This newer edition in the GP series carries on some of that comfort and bounciness, with a more streamlined and speedy profile. Explosive movers like Frances Tiafoe can appreciate the blend of comfort, support, and traction these shoes deliver. Key design features include forefoot and heel Zoom Air units, a mid-foot stability plate, and high abrasion rubber on the outsole that is denser in strategic locations. Adding to the overall comfort, the upper material is lightweight, breathable, and protected on the medial side of the toe-box for players who drag, while the integrated lacing system and support strap on the lateral side will keep your feet secure on those lateral cuts.

  • Upper: Synthetic and mesh material for lightweight support and easy ventilation. Rubber drag-guard on the medial side of the toe-box, and extra padding around the ankle collar for a plush feel. Integrated lacing and lateral belt help with support and lock-down.
  • Midsole: Zoom Air units located under the forefoot and heel for easy energy return and a smooth ride. Stability plate helps to resist torsional twisting of the shoes.
  • Outsole: High abrasion rubber outsole in a herringbone design; rubber is more dense on the medial forefoot high wear region, and finer tread on the lateral side for sliding enhancement.
  • Color: White / Blue / Brown

Great shoe!First Nike shoe that I felt didn't have to be broken in because they were too narrow. Great fit right out of the box. I did have to size up by half a size. That said, this is the best issue since the NikeCourt Air Zoom Vapor 9.5 Tour.

Good Shoe, but a major flawThese shoes are very good and are comfortable. But they come with a major flaw in that the loop that holds the shoelace in on the outside of the shoe and if you slide at all this will break within two weeks. The Vapor 11 and Vapor Pro 2 have this loop on the inside and are decent shoes.

Super comfortableI love these kicks, tons of room in the toe box for my wide but not super wide foot. Incredibly versatile. 4.0.

Worst shoe I’ve played in 20+ yearsI’ve been playing various top of the line Nike's for over a decade. Lots of adidas in the early days of Feathers and Barricades. I’ve never been one to be that picky on shoes and generally, the top lines work just fine. I was on the fence when trying on React NXT's but lots of bad reviews kept me from trying them. For these GP's, I was on the fence but hopeful. Got 'em when they came out so no reviews. Decided to try them on the court. I’ve never hated a tennis shoe more than this shoe after multiple times trying to play. I would flat out rather not play tennis than try to play in these again. It’s not one specific thing so much as it just feels “off." Ended up going with Vapor 11's. Both those and Zoom NXT's are more comfortable in the forefoot. A note on sizing: these run small. By an awkward amount. I’ve been size 12.0 for all the 20 years I mentioned. Until the Zoom NXT's came out and I had to size down to 11.5. For the GP's, 12.0 barely fit but 12.5 is too big. Maybe these are good for some people, but not me. The killer for me was 2-3 times during a session of not running around that hard I was on the verge of tweaking my ankle (but didn’t). I’ve literally never experienced this in a tennis shoe before. Only when being dumb and trying to hit tennis balls in running shoes. I hate these shoes so much that after having worn them in court a total of about three-ish hours of play time, I’m going to try to return them to TW and if they balk, directly to Nike. And I’d be saying all the above if they cost $50. They cost $170. These suck.

stable, comfortable, not too heavy. These were surprisingly what I expected and needed with both comfort and stability. Although I do agree with the other review about breathability, they might be a bit hot in the spring and summer depending where you are. I'm actually okay with that because I think they are a solid shoe. Of course I don't know how long they will last but my initial impression is that they will last a while because they seem like a pretty solid build. I had two pairs of the previous versions and those were comfortable and lasted a long time. I play typically four times a week and both of the previous pairs lasted over 7-8 months. I'm not a slider and I have some toe drag but it showed later down the road. The previous version wasn't very breathable as well so I'm used to it.

Love it, but breathability is an issue. The shoes are quite comfortable after two to three hours of breaking them in. However, after one hour on the court the toe-box is very damp and has no good way of letting that area breathe. These shoes have a HUGE breathability issue, no way these shoes can be played in the summer.
